Every business starts somewhere. For Happy Grounds Cleaning Co., it started with a kid noticing something most adults had learned to overlook: a dirty playground.

As a mom, I’ve spent countless hours watching my son run, climb, slide, explore, and make memories on playgrounds. One day, he pointed out the grime building up on the equipment. It was a simple observation, but it made us stop and look at playgrounds a little differently.

Playgrounds are meant to be places for adventure, imagination, and connection, not places where dirt and buildup become part of the experience. That conversation sparked an idea: What if we created a business focused specifically on helping keep the places where children play clean and cared for and that’s how Happy Grounds began.

Happy Grounds is a mother-and-son owned and operated business serving daycares, churches, HOAs, schools, and parks throughout our local communities. We understand that playgrounds are more than equipment. They are where children spend time with friends, challenge themselves, explore their surroundings, and make memories.

Before getting started, we spent time researching playground surfaces, cleaning techniques, equipment, and products to understand what responsible playground cleaning should look like. That research continues as we learn more and refine our methods.

Our approach combines professional pressure-washing techniques with eco-conscious and child-conscious cleaning practices. We consider the surface, equipment, surrounding environment, and condition of each playground before determining the appropriate cleaning approach. Our goal is straightforward: leave each playground cleaner, cared for, and ready for the next adventure. We’re building Happy Grounds one playground at a time, with a commitment to doing the job thoughtfully and earning the trust of the communities we serve.
